Deer Hunting Program Application

Season Starts

To hunt within city limits, even on
their property, hunters must pass an archery-proficiency
test with the bow they plan to use, follow all state
hunting regulations and have two valid deer tags.
Hunting can be conducted only from an elevated bow stand
and cannot take place during the state's deer gun
season.
Hunting is allowed
only on approved land with the property owner's written
permission, which must be filed with the Newark Division
of Police.
Neighbors are allowed to combine their properties to
meet the plan's 3-acre requirement.
